Privacy Policy
Materia does not ask who you are. There is no account to create, no advertising, no tracking, and no personal data collected by the app.
What this policy covers
This policy applies to two separate things: the Materia: Elements app for iPhone, and this website at materiaelements.com. They are described separately below, because they work differently.
The Materia app
Materia does not collect personal data. Specifically:
- No accounts. Materia has no sign-in, no profile, and no user identity of any kind.
- No advertising. The app contains no ads and no ad networks.
- No tracking. Materia includes no third-party advertising trackers, no analytics SDKs, and no attribution or fingerprinting frameworks.
- No servers of ours. Materia does not operate a backend. The element data and explanations ship inside the app, so there is nothing for the app to report back to.
What is stored on your device
Materia keeps one local preference: a stored on/off value recording whether Materia Pro is unlocked, so the app can show the correct state immediately at launch without waiting for the App Store. It is a single setting with no personal information in it, it stays on your device, and it is removed when you delete the app. Your actual entitlement always comes from Apple.
Purchases
Materia Pro is a one-time purchase sold through Apple's App Store using StoreKit. Apple processes the payment. Materia receives from Apple only the confirmation that this Apple Account is entitled to Materia Pro — it never receives your payment card details, billing address, or Apple Account credentials.
Apple may process purchase-related information as part of running the App Store, under Apple's own policies rather than this one. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
This website
materiaelements.com is a set of static files. It sets no cookies, uses no analytics, includes no advertising or tracking scripts, and loads no third-party fonts, widgets, or embeds.
The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. As with any web host, GitHub's infrastructure necessarily handles the ordinary technical information involved in delivering a page — such as your IP address and browser user-agent string — and may retain it in server logs for security and operational purposes. That processing is GitHub's, described in the GitHub Privacy Statement. Nothing on this site is used to build a profile of you, and nothing collected by the host is available to or used by Materia.
Links to the App Store, Apple Support, or GitHub take you to services run by those companies, under their own privacy policies.
Children
Materia is an educational app that collects no personal data from anyone, of any age. There is no account creation, no user-generated content, and no communication feature.
Changes to this policy
If Materia ever changes what it does with data, this policy will be updated before that change ships, and the date below will change with it. Previous versions remain visible in this website's public version history.
Contact
Questions about this policy can be sent to the support address that will be published on the support page before Materia's App Store release.
